hi friends! my baby girl celebrated her first birthday last december 30. after thinking long and hard if we're going to have a super bonggang birthday or simple lang, we settled in the middle. hope this helps those who are planning. the pictures are here:

increase kasi)

I chose this branch kasi maganda yung party venue niya. Enclosed at walang harang sa gitna. Masikaso yung party manager na si Jenny. Mababait staff and they didn't charge us for the extension and the electricity fee of the 2 food carts. Yun pa, pumayag sila mag pasok ng 2 food carts unlike other branches. Although bawal yung mga maglulutong carts like fries.

I love Shairish! They were the ones who decorated by baptismal party so I figured why change supplier and they delivered very well. We arrived at the venue around 1pm and nakaset up na yung ibang balloons. (may previous party kasi kaya di rin kami naka-pasok agad) Ang ganda ng decors. All our guests liked it, specially the pillars. It was not the usual pillar lang, may stand talaga na bakal. Nagulat ako kasi after the party, na-ubos yung balloons! Konti nalang na uwi namen. I also got the host and face painters from them. Si Honey pa nagfa-follow up and was giving suggestions sa program kasi medyo na late host. Her husband Bong was also very helpful in the set-up.

Kaya siya nalate kasi nakaburol mom niya. But she was very professional. She came in dora costume. Pagdating niya, start agad siya sa party. Added points pa yung she started the party with a prayer. Hit din sa kids yung mini magic show niya and si Elmo the puppet. Tuwa ako kasi tawa ng tawa yung mga kids.

Arce Ice Cream Cart

Good idea na mag ice cream cart kami para may kinakain na yung guests bago pa
yung main food served by shakey's. Naubos nga eh, di kami na kakain ni hubby.
When I had time to approach the stand to ask for ice cream, wala na yung coffee
crumble. After the party, 2 basong quezon real nalang ang natira, yun nalang
nakain namen. Nakakatuwang Makita people lining up to get ice cream.

We almost didn't get this additional cart kasi naisip namen added expense lang
ito. But buti nalang ulit, kasi our guests loved it. It came pa in 4 flavors
kaya nakakatuwa. Ubos din.

This was a last minute addition to our party. Our cameraman has work pala on
Hailey's birthday, buti natanong ko. So I asked from our n@wie sisters and Zoe
recommended this one. Nakita ko na sila sa multiply, I just wanted affirmation
kung okay sila. They arrived on time, 2pm start ng party and they were there by
2pm, though they told me they will be there 30minutes before the party. Got the
pictures and the video already. The video was great. Na capture yung moments
talaga nung party. The pictures medyo nakulangan ako kasi hindi nakunan yung
ibang details like the Dora centerpieces but the faces of the kids were soo cute
kasi nakunang nagtatawanan sila. Also Liza, the photographer, directed us also
on what to do kasi baka biglang mawala na ang mga tao at hindi na kami maka
pagpa-picture. Also sobrang na-appreciate ko yung na-sort out na yung pictures
nung binigay nila. May folder na yung – Details, Family and Friends, etc. Ang
ganda din nung case.

Late lang sila magreply sa text. Medyo nakaka-praning yun siempre minsan. Nung
time din na sabi nila dadalhin nila, I texted them thrice pero late nag-reply na
nasa Tagaytay pala sila. Eh naghintay si hubby. When I forwarded their text
message na sabi nila they can bring the material on that day, di na nag-reply
ulit. But it was all okay naman kasi magaganda yung pictures at mabait sila
during the day of the event.


Hailey's Outfit: Baby Fashionistas

I saw sis camille's baby in the tulle skirt so I asked her where she got them
and she said baby fashionistas. It was tooo cute to resist! I initially wanted
another set of outfit kaso hindi type ni hubby! Gusto niya talaga yung petti
skirt. So I asked Prim na baka pwedeng yung top nung gusto ko na dress ang
i-pair sa petti skirt. She agreed naman and suggested na bathing suit type
nalang gagawin niya para hindi lumalabas yung top sa skirt. When we got it,
super nice! Kulang nga lang when we picked it up sa Eastwood shop niya – walang
bolero, hat and shoes, so she had them delivered nalang to our house. Our guests
loved it. Para daw siyang swan princess. Perfect!

I stumbled upon this site when I was looking for matching outfits for me and my
husband. I sent them a request through YM at first, then text, then email. I
requested for a layout design and upon approval, nagpa-print na ako shirt which
says "Hailey's Mommy" and "Hailey's Daddy." Medyo nadelay lang delivery pero
umabot naman siya thus the .5 rating. Also ordered an "I heart Jacob" shirt from
them, hehehe. Everybody loved it. May mga naghahanap nga ng "Hailey's Ninang"
tsaka "Hailey's Visitor."

I figured na hindi isusuot ni Hailey all throughout the party yung birthday hat
niya kaya I went to buy some headbands. I bought 2 just in case may ayaw siya
isuot. Ina-alis alis niya pa din so may pictures siya na mukha siya boy, hehehe.

Elmer and I are chocolate cake addicts so early on, we decided that we do not
want a "show" cake na hindi naman nakakain. So I was happy that Chocolat (one of
inquirer's best home made cakes) has a Dora cake. Thru phone lang ang
confirmation and we got it on the day itself. Okay design, cute just like the
one in the picture sa net, although my measurement stated sa multiply site nila,
nagulat ako kasi ang liit pala nung cake! As in. Ang liit talaga.  But
it tasted great as all chocolat cakes do.

Face Painters c/o Shairish

Gusto ni hubby na female face painters kasi sabi niya weird daw na lalake ang
magpe-paint. So I got them also from Honey. I wanted 1 painter lang, pero
sabi ni Honey why not make it 2 kasi mas mamahal pag magpa-extend ako just in
case madaming batang gustong magpa face paint. True enough, hindi nabakante yung
face painting area. Sabi ko pa naman magpapa-face paint din ako, pati nga si
hubby. Daming nagpa paint, pati mga adult friends ko. Plus point din yung nakita
ko na Dora print out. They made an extra effort to know the theme of our party.

Lootbags, Invites, Stickers, Tarp, Thank You Cards

Siempre labor of love! My mom made the loot bags, dad ko nag blow nung dora balloons. si hubby naglay out nung invites, stickers and tarp. I spent hours looking for Dora the Explorer digiscrap materials on the internet. tiyaga talaga buti may nakita akong set na free! nilagyan namen ng sticker halos lahat ng give-aways and prizes. the guests loved it! pati yung dora balloon na inflatable dinecorate lang namen with ribbon and card. nakakatuwa pag na-appreciate ng kids.

hay sarap mag plan ng party. yung second birthday walang party kasi we'll go on a trip. yung third birthday yun ang bongga kasi yun maaalala na niya.

nice party mommy hazel! i never thought that you could add food carts if its at a restaurant. usually they are strict on that. and its seems like your baby was into the party because she was awake the whole time.

Hi mommyhazel! i read your review and mukhang we have the same thing in mind. my baby is turning 1 sa nov pa pero im planning na as early as now. I love your suppliers review at mukhang ok mga suppliers mo. i think we have the same thing in mind. i want a "Happy" birthday for my baby and our guests pero not so bongga kasi gusto ko rin mas bongga yung bday party na maalala na nya. i want sana a venue na kasama na yung food tapos mag add na alng ako ng cart and other entertainment for kids (magician/puppet/host, like balloon twisting, face painting etc).
